Buttercup is a hideous looking cat that belongs to Prim. He has a mashed-in nose, half of one ear is missing, and his eyes are the color of rotting squash. Prim named him Buttercup because she insisted that his muddy yellow coat matched the bright flower. He does not like Katniss because she once tried to drown him in a bucket.
